Get More Information on Comfortable Wisdom Teeth Removal
Dr. Sam Muwafaq: We’re set up to do everything for you here in the office. So basically, wisdom teeth is very simple, very routine procedure. We’ll get you back. You will most likely be seen by me. We’ll get you back. I personally sedate you in the office, start your IV, you’ll be completely asleep. It’s very necessary to sedate you for wisdom teeth. Quicker procedure and you’re more comfortable. We’ll get inside, take ’em out very simply, all of them. Takes about 30-45 minutes tops for very complex cases and then we’ll send you home with antibiotics and pain medication as well and most patients recover within two or three days. It’s not that serious of a procedure. Maybe back in the day it used to be serious, but now with the technology we have, the sedation options we have, the contacts we have, it’s not that big of a deal and it prevents a lot of catastrophic issues down the road when you start losing teeth because of the teeth pushing on them or you end up with teeth crowding in the front of your mouth. Braces, you do a lot of things and it’s like, “Okay, teeth keep getting crowded up front, what’s the problem?” You look at the CT scan we have, it’s like, “It was the teeth pushing in the back.” So it prevents a lot of issues down the road, that’s why we highly, highly advise to remove them early.
